Books & Beverages: Books That Taught Me Something New In-Person

NOTE: During the Library renovation, from June 2026 through January 2027, Books & Beverages will meet upstairs at Inkwell & Brew, 150 E Elkhorn Ave. See below for more information.

In partnership with Inkwell & Brew, do you have a book that taught you something new? It could be a skill, a piece of history, an idea, or just a new way of seeing something familiar. Bring it to this book discussion, share it with your fellow community members, and get their book recommendations. Each attendee will receive a free beverage from our partner, Inkwell & Brew, compliments of the Library. They serve tea, coffee, and other refreshing beverages — see the attached menus for a preview. We'll collect orders prior to the start of the program.

For this book club, you’ll do a brief “Show and Tell” about your chosen book, provide a quick synopsis (no spoilers!), and share with the group why you chose it. After everyone has shown, told, and discussed a bit, we’ll chat about books some more.

The book can be a published work you’ve written, and you're also welcome to bring more than one recommendation. See the attached document for questions to get you thinking about your book and to ask others about theirs.
