Learn About Pollinator Research in Rocky Mountain National Park In-Person
In partnership with the Rocky Mountain Conservancy, join us to learn about pollinator research in Rocky Mountain National Park. Researchers from Colorado State University and the National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring Division are documenting bumblebees and monarch butterflies in the park. The project will help the park protect important pollinator species. Crew Lead Brooke Bellmar will give an overview of the project and the species found so far. Bring your park pollinator questions!
About Brooke
Brooke Bellmar is a Pollinator Ecology Assistant with the National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring Division through the Scientists in Parks program. She is currently serving as crew lead on a two-year bumblebee and monarch butterfly inventory at Rocky Mountain National Park. She earned her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Environmental Studies from Knox College in 2025 and is passionate about pollinator conservation and outreach. Outside of work, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and volleyball, going for meandering walks, losing at trivia, and playing music.
