Sewing 101: Make a Tote Bag In-Person

Ever wanted to learn how to sew but felt intimidated by the sewing machine? Fear not! Join us in the Makerspace for a relaxed, hands-on beginner's workshop. This workshop will take place on Monday mornings, from August 10-31. When you register, you will automatically be registered for all classes in the series.

By the end of this class, you’ll go from sewing novice to DIY champion, walking out with a cute, custom mini-tote bag made entirely by you. It’s the perfect size for carrying your current read, lunch, or daily essentials.

To make sure your bag matches your personal style, you get to choose your own fabric! Please bring ½ yard of three coordinating fabrics, prewashed. Medium-weight woven cotton, denim, or canvas will work best. Avoid stretchy fabrics for this project. We will provide everything else!
