Brilliant Pages: A Writing Workshop for Serious Writing In-Person

A two-hour, hands-on writing workshop for anyone who wants to make something vivid, honest, and alive on the page—no matter your experience level or genre. We’ll explore how humans use language to create connection and shared meaning, then turn that idea into fresh, compelling writing through a series of quick prompts, short readings, and guided discussion. Some sharing and feedback time will be allocated for community building and writing support. Critical feedback will be very limited.

You’ll leave with new text, repeatable processes, and a few practical craft tools for generating strong material (image, voice, scene, and revision). Come as you are: notebook writers, lapsed writers, poets, memoirists, fiction writers, writers in need of some time away from the family. Both total beginners and experienced authors are welcome. We’re better together. No prep required—just curiosity and something to write with.

Work with Jenny Forrester, author of multiple books and micro publisher of literary anthologies and magazines. She’s the author of Narrow River, Wide Sky: A Memoir, a western American rural coming-of-age story, and Soft Hearted Stories: Seeking Saviors, Cowboy Stylists, and Other Fallacies of Authoritarianism — a Colorado Book Award Finalist. The class will be based on her writing instruction book, Brilliant: The Art of Literary Radiance, A Manual and Manifesto. Most recently, she’s the author of Love: The Art of Cherishing the World.
