Books & Beverages: Making In-Person

Have a book about "making" that you think everyone should read? It might be:

  • Your favorite cookbook, gardening guide, or crafting book
  • A documentary-style book about the making of your favorite movie or series
  • A book on how to make or keep friends
  • A novel that revolves around a character's journey to build something
  • Something we haven't thought of!

Regardless, bring it to this book discussion, share it with your fellow community members, and get their book recommendations. Each attendee will receive a free beverage from our partner, Inkwell & Brew, compliments of the Library. They serve tea, coffee, and other refreshing beverages; place your order when you register--see the attached menus.

For this book club, you’ll do a brief “Show and Tell” about your chosen book, provide a quick synopsis (no spoilers!), and share with the group why you chose it. After everyone has shown, told, and discussed a bit, we’ll hang out and talk about books some more.

The book can be a published work you’ve written, and you're also welcome to bring more than one recommendation. See the attached document for questions to get you thinking about your book and to ask others about theirs.

More about this program

We'll need at least two registrations to hold the discussion, so we strongly encourage you to register. (You can always cancel if you won't be able to join us.) When you register, we'll ask you for your drink order--see the attached menus.
