Southern Arapaho tribal historian and elder Fred Mosqueda will join us via Zoom to share the history of the Arapaho people in our area and efforts to preserve the Arapaho language, culture, and traditions.

About Fred Mosqueda

Mr. Mosqueda is a Southern Arapaho tribal historian and elder, and an Arapaho Outreach Specialist for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. He also represents the Southern Arapaho as their Sand Creek Massacre / NAGPRA Representative. As an Arapaho speaker, he works to support his tribe in preserving their culture, language, and traditional practices and ceremonies. This work, along with his role as an educator, has led him to visit Estes Park, where he has partnered with local organizations.
