Make a Rube Goldberg Machine In-Person

What would Maker March be without a Rube Goldberg Machine? But first—you might be wondering, what exactly is a Rube Goldberg machine?

A Rube Goldberg machine is a delightfully overcomplicated contraption that uses everyday household items—think dominoes, balls, string, ramps, and toy cars—to complete a very simple task. Through a chain reaction of movement and motion, participants explore engineering, physics, and problem-solving while learning about cause and effect in a creative, hands-on way. These machines celebrate curiosity, experimentation, and thinking outside the box, all while embracing a little silliness along the way.

Join us at the Estes Valley Library for Maker March as we design and build our own wacky, inventive Rube Goldberg machines. Come ready to tinker, test, and laugh as simple ideas turn into wonderfully elaborate creations!
