NOTE: Seating is limited, so please register here to attend.
In collaboration with the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) and the Rocky Mountain Conservancy, join us for a free avalanche awareness presentation with expert Mike Cooperstein from CAIC.
Avalanche Aware is a one-hour introduction to avalanches and avalanche safety developed by the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE), CAIC, and the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC). The program is designed for people of all ages and experience levels who want to learn about, or avoid, avalanche terrain, whether they travel on skis, snowshoes, snowmobiles, or foot.
This engaging presentation will cover the basics of avalanche hazards, terrain recognition, and decision-making to help you stay safe in Colorado’s winter backcountry.
Seating is limited, so please register here to attend.
