The Science of Storytelling

The Science of Storytelling In-Person

Join us to explore the Science of Storytelling.

In this program, we will travel through the evolution of storytelling and the written word. We will begin by making line drawings to tell a story the way early humans might have done, sitting by a fire over 50,000 years ago. Then use clay tablets to write our names in hieroglyphs. Next, we will try our hand at writing our story on papyrus with a quill in the Latin alphabet. We will end our journey through time learning about the Gutenberg printing press, which led to so many books that we needed more libraries.
