Stitching Jane Austen

Stitching Jane Austen In-Person

Celebrate the 250th birthday of Jane Austen with a creative, hands-on tribute to her timeless words! In this special Makerspace workshop, participants will learn a few basic embroidery stitches and use them to embellish a cardstock copy of a page from one of Jane Austen’s beloved novels. Add flourishes, flowers, and delicate designs inspired by Regency-era aesthetics while reflecting on Austen’s wit and charm.

No prior embroidery experience is needed—we will guide you through every step, from threading your needle to crafting elegant stitches. All materials will be provided.

Join us for a morning of art, literature, and gentle conversation as we honor Jane Austen’s enduring legacy—one stitch at a time.
