Family Makerspace Mornings: Children's Craft

Family Makerspace Mornings: Children's Craft In-Person

The Wasson Board Room is held for the children's craft portion of Family Makerspace Mornings.

Join us for a unique and engaging program designed for families to explore creativity together — but in their own way! Adults will dive into hands-on learning with our Makerspace equipment, and kids will enjoy a fun, supervised craft activity in the Wasson Room.

In this dual-learning experience, adults will receive guided instruction on how to use tools such as 3D printers, vinyl cutters, laser engravers, and more — gaining confidence to bring their creative ideas to life. At the same time, children will work with staff on age-appropriate crafts that encourage imagination and hands-on learning in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Whether you're looking to build new skills, discover a new hobby, or simply try something new, Family Makerspace Mornings offer time and space for creativity, learning, and a bit of "me time" for both grown-ups and kids.

Best for:

Parents or caregivers with children aged 6–10

Beginners interested in Makerspace tools

Families looking for a creative weekend or morning activity

In this session, Adults will learn how to use the sublimation printer to create a custom tote bag. Children will decorate a tote bag using paint and markers. Dress children in clothes suitable for painting.
