Color Our World: Fabric Batik

Color Our World: Fabric Batik In-Person

Discover the timeless art of batik in a hands-on workshop! We'll explore the beauty and cultural heritage of this fabric dyeing technique -- from pattern creation to the resist-dyeing process.

The two-day beginner-friendly session will guide you through each step, empowering you to create your own unique fabric artwork. No prior experience is needed -- just bring your creativity and a willingness to experiment, and leave with a vibrant piece of wearable or displayable art. Suitable for tweens, teens, and adults.

Note: This program takes place over two days. The first day will cover creating the resist, and on the second day participants will dye the fabric.

This program is part of our "Color Our World" Summer Reading Program. Learn more about SRP here.
