Getting Started with Genealogy In-Person
No matter where in the world you're from, you may be curious about those who came before. And in this day and age, it's never been easier to satiate that curiosity. You can use online tools to search military or marriage records, census data, or even specific records like passenger and crew lists from ships docking in ports like Ellis Island.
Join us for an afternoon of delving into the past and learning to use Ancestry.com as we find out more about our personal, family, and cultural history. Library cardholders have access to a variety of free "Subscription Services," including Ancestry.com, and in this program, we'll teach you how to use these valuable tools. Computers will be provided, and participants will gain insights about how to continue their Ancestry searches after the program concludes.
Ancestry.com is accessible to patrons with a library card while using a device on the Library's network. Need a Library card? Get started with our online form.
