Arbor Day Poster Contest

Arbor Day Poster Contest In-Person

Calling all children, tweens, and teens!  The Library is partnering with the sign makers of the Estes Valley to provide an opportunity for aspiring artists in our community: create a poster to help us promote Arbor Day in 2025. Stop by the Makerspace to work on your design -- we'll provide the supplies, you supply the creativity!

Once your submission is complete, we will scan and submit it to be judged by a committee of local sign artists and designers. Judging will take place in February and an award ceremony will occur in March. The grand prize winner will receive $100 cash from Smith Sign Studio along with a one-on-one tutoring session from fifth generation sign craftsman, Kent Smith, who will teach you how to digitally edit your design to make it print-ready. The winning design will be displayed around town in the spring to encourage the community to pick up their free tree on Arbor Day.
