Hunters' Education Course In-Person

Interested in hunting in Colorado? ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Colorado law requires that anyone born on or after January 1, 1949, complete an approved hunter education course before applying for or buying a Colorado hunting license.

Join Colorado Parks & Wildlife certified volunteer hunter education instructor Eris Audette for this Conclusion Class in conjunction with the Internet Course.

Participants must sign up for the Colorado Hunter Safety Course Online to pre-register for this Conclusion Class. 

Participants must pass both the Internet Course and Conclusion Class in order to complete your hunter education requirements. Passing the Internet course does not guarantee you a spot at this Conclusion Class.

There is no minimum age requirement to take this course.

After passing the Online Course, you are required to attend the Conclusion Class to complete your hunting safety certification.

A $10 nonrefundable cash payment for is due to the instructor upon arrival.

What to expect at the Conclusion Class:

  • A classroom session
  • Outdoor shooting
  • Blood trailing
  • Demonstrations of tree stand safety
  • Survival skills

 

Most of the classroom topics will pertain to Colorado-specific regulations and issues that are not covered in this online course. Be sure to have proper clothing for the outdoor sessions.

After attending and passing the Conclusion Class portion of the Hunting education requirement, you will receive your Hunter Education Certificate
