Adventure Begins With Live Action Role Play

Adventure Begins With Live Action Role Play In-Person

This summer adventure begins at your library and nothing says adventure like Live Action Role Play (LARPing)! Come learn what LARPing is all about with Timothy Vicekry of Amtgard, make a short foam sword and participate in a mock battle in Bond Park. Know that it is more than fun and games! There are rules and safety measures to ensure everyone has a good time in these foam weapon weilding battles.

Amtgard is a fun medieval style boffer sword fighting group. We use safe, foam-padded replicas of Medieval weaponry to bring to life the tabletop or video game experience many are familiar with. In Amtgard you don’t just say what you want to do, you do it. You swing the sword or cast the spell. You are the adventurer!

Amtgard not only allows you to battle your friends, but lets you level up in specific classes that allow you to unlock additional spells and abilities. Think of it like Dungeons & & Dragons, but you get to be your character!

Participants must be 14 years old or older.
